We found the sales representative at the Englishtown Capitol Lighting Store to be very helpful & patient. The price and discount was perfect.... Those are part of 9 1800Lighting reviews. The latest review from Trustpilot - This has to be one of the worst companies I have ever worked with. Instead of writing a subjective review, I will provide a timeline of events and each can come to their own conclusion: 6/23/19 - Ordered two fans totaling over $1000. Expected ship date for Fan A: 7/22. Expected ship date for Fan B: 6/25. 6/24/19 - received an email from the company asking for confirmation of my delivery address. I responded within 20 minutes of receiving the email with the address confirmation 6/25/19 - I emailed customer service as I had not received any shipping information 6/26/19 - Received a response from customer service saying Fan A is on back order until 8/20/19 and that Fan B would be shipping out that day. 6/28/19 - Received shipping confirmation for Fan B (which was wasn't actually shipped until 6/27) 6/29/19 - Fan B was delivered. It is the wrong color (completely my fault, NOT the company). Contacted customer service to return Fan B and placed a new order for Fan C. Expected ship date for Fan C: 7/2/19. Customer service representative indicated I would receive the return shipping label for Fan B that day. 7/3/19 - Never received the return shipping label. Contacted customer service via chat, again, and was again told they would send an email that day with the return shipping label. I also inquired about the status of Fan C as it was expected to ship on 7/2 but I hadn't received any tracking information. Customer rep indicated Fan C was shipping that day and I would receive tracking information by the end of the day. 7/5/19 - Still no Fan C. Contacted customer service via chat again. They indicated Fan C would be shipped 7/5 (as it was never shipped on 7/3) and that I would have tracking information "later in the day". No tracking information received by end of day 7/6/19 - received tracking information for Fan C 7/8/19 - Fan B picked up via FedEx for return 7/9/19 - Fan C delivered 7/19/19 - Contacted customer service for an update on the status of the return. They indicated the item was received (it was delivered to them on 7/10 per the tracking information) and a refund would be issued in 5 days. The representative also indicated Fan A would be shipped on 7/22 and I would receive tracking information on 7/23 7/29/19 - Never received a refund or shipping information so I contacted customer service again. Here is the transcript from our chat: Rep: We just created the return on 7/28. Generally it takes 2 weeks from when received to get an okay from the vendor for a credit. Me: I was told last week that my credit card would be credited in 5 days Me: and that was on July 19 Rep: Sorry ***** but it generally takes 2 weeks for it to be inspected. Me: The item was returned about 3 weeks ago Me: I chatted with BerndtH on Friday July 19 and he said it was received and the credit would be issued in 5 days Rep: Yes, I see that now. Sorry this was not notated or entered properly. Rep: The credit was refunded today. Rep: You will see this on your card in 1-2 business days. Me: Ok. Can you also tell me the status of the other fan I purchased? During the same chat conversation with BerndtH I was told [Fan A] would be shipping on Tuesday July 22 and that I would receive tracking information by Wednesday [July 23]. I haven't received anything Rep: This is back-ordered until ~8/31 At this point I asked for the order to be cancelled. While I fully understand they can't control if a product is on back order, I'm not willing to continue working with a company that constantly changes their story and rarely follows through with what they've said they would do. Save yourself a lot of time and stress and go somewhere. There are 2 excellent reviews. 0 of customers rate great. But there are almost 7 of people rate bad.
