Background: I purchased a Nitecore EA21 from Amazon that drains fresh alkaline or lithium AA batteries in not in use. Batteries are dead after 3-4 months with only light (less than 10 minutes at medium power) use. I communicated via email with the Nitecore company in China about the problem for about two weeks. They do not acknowledge a problem with the rapid draining of batteries and claim the performance is normal. It is not. The Nitecore store USA said there wasn’t much they could do since I did not purchase directly from them. The Nitecore Store promised to elevate the issue to management and call me back the next day. They have not followed through. Both the Nitecore Store USA and Nitecore Company have earned one star from this customer. If I could have awarded no stars, I would have..
